Incoming 6th graders—You don’t have to be the greatest runner to join Cross Country.  You just have to be willing to give your personal best and have a good attitude! There are no “cuts” and everyone runs at each meet during the season.  Give cross-country a shot!!! This is a great opportunity for you to get to know friends before you arrive at CMS.

Returning Students - If you ran last year, we are hoping you will run again.  If you did not run last year, consider joining!  It is never too late to take part in this opportunity.  You will get exercise, have time to spend with friends and experience being a part of a team, all at the same time!

Mandatory practice--The first practice of the year will start before school begins.  Our season will begin on Monday, August 14th.  Students must have a physical on file to practice.   Parents, please let a coach know if your student cannot attend practice on 8/14 and 8/15.  The first two days of practice will be held at Carroll Middle School from 3:30 - 4:30  The team will meet in front of the building at CMS and you should bring a water bottle and come ready to run.  A practice schedule will be provided on the first day of practice.  PLEASE be sure to pick up your athlete on time!

During the school year--Practice runs from 4:00 until 5:00 pm daily—starting on 8/16.  All students must be picked up at 5:00. School athletics come before outside club sports. Please make arrangements so that you can attend all practices and meets!
